This is a small program that I wrote using Python.
The motivation for this program is as follows; at first, I just try to upload images from my brand new DSLR to Facebook. But because my Internet is quite slow and the images are extremely BIG, so I unsuccessfully uploaded them. I tried to reduce their size using Photoshop but it still be some works. Finally I wrote this program to resize all images in the folder in a single double-click.
There are currently 2 version for this program.
1. Batch Image Resizer 500 v0.2 for Windows
For resize all images to be not larger than 500×500 px. This version can be used only with JPEG format.
2. Batch Image Resizer 800 v0.2 for Windows
For resize all images to be not larger than 800×800 px. This version can be used only with JPEG format.
3. Source code
This is the source code, for those who want to develop it, or adjust your desired size yourselves, or not using Microsoft Windows.
This program wrote using Python 2.5.6 with Python Image Library 1.1.3
How to Use
To use this program, just extract all file into the folder where you stored your images, double-click on bp.exe, and the resized version of all images will appear.
If you use source code version, Python runtime and PIL is required. Copy bp.py to the images folder then execute python bp.py, the resized version of the image will appear.
For more information about Python and PIL, try asking Google ^^.
